Circus Masquerade style event

 Circus Masquerade style event

The proposal is of a Circus Masquerade style event. All guest and staff will be required to dress in a Masquerade or Circus theme outfit.

Not your average circus style event, the attire can be inspired by Cirque De Solei  as the costumes are creative and “out there”, as seen in the first picture with the black and white stripe body suits.

I have chosen the colourful clown costumes as other circus attire inspiration can be by wearing costumes with colour in them as this style event is inspired by loud, extravagant colour schemes. Although the majority of the event will be lit up with extravagant colours, the main event will be purple and black colour scheme so when everyone is wearing the vibrant colours it makes it more effective and the colour contrasts I think personally look good and fit in with this style event.

The Masquerade attire can be inspired by high fashion events such as the picture I have included with the colourful feather mask, I love this look as it fits in with the colour scheme as colour and vibrant, also seen in the pic I have included with the 2 girls and masks on their face, I thought that this was a little different but also incorporating the quirky high fashion edge to it.

This event will be a ticketed event with tickets selling around $150-$300 each depending on additives the consumer wishes to include (I.e; VIP Treatment). This Circus Masquerade style event is aimed towards the high end, monied party crowd 18 years and older in each capital city of Australia, but I have mainly focused this one for the area of Brisbane just as example. The event in Brisbane will be taking place in the RNA Showgrounds,( http://www.rnashowgrounds.com.au/planning-an-event/venue.aspx)  as it is easily accessible as it is close to public transport and the area the event would be held in the Main Area with a main big tent set up, and lounges set up randomly around the area.
Entertainment on the evening such as including a carousel, Ferris wheel, acrobatics, stilt walking, fire acts,  and trapeze artists, this is by far anything but a dull event.

Food will also be available at this event with the Circus style foods available such as hot dog stands, cotton candy stalls, Churros, etc. If this isn’t your type of food, also on offer would be the Masquerade style catering such as the waiters carrying around canapés, and light finger food. Alcoholic beverages will be available as this is an 18+ event.

This type of event would be suitable for a national fundraising event as this event will travel to each capital city.

Kids Theme Adult Party

 Kids Theme Adult Party

The idea of this event is a Kids Theme Adult Party, guests and staffs are given the option to dress up in any costume attire as it is fancy dress. This event will be a ticketed event with tickets varying depending on inclusions but are estimated to cost between $100-$200 each. This event is aimed towards anyone over the age of 18 who are of the high end market within Townsville or North Queensland, and are looking to have a fun night and raise money for a good cause. I have chosen this type of event as it could be easily marketed towards any foundation looking to raise money; I was thinking of promoting this to the Think Pink Foundation to raise money for women with Breast Cancer.

I have chosen The Pavillion at Jupiters Casino in Townsville as it is situated outside but in an air-conditioned marquee, it is set amongst tropical gardens so sets a nice scene, as well with the same location also incorporating it alongside the Poolside Lawns as both the areas have a setting that will definitely work with the theme.

I have chosen  the balloons and lighting to cover the ceiling as it creates a fun look and I personally think that this gives it more of a bit of an exciting atmosphere.  As shown in the picture by having a colour scheme with pink, white, purple, light green and blue, not only do they make the event fit in with the Think Pink Foundation but they would go nicely in the locations being used at Jupiters Casino.

I got this idea as a lady I know had a sister who has Breast Cancer and she isn’t sure of how long she has left and thought that for her 31st birthday this year she will have a party, the theme for her party is a 3+1=4 party, so have a party where everyone dresses up as though they were going to a 4 year olds birthday party, incorporating things a 4 year old would have at their party such as a jumping castle, fairy bread, etc. so this is how I came up with the idea for this event.

I thought I could create an event that was not only appealing and fun but to market this to make money for people with Breast Cancer, so in saying this by including a Bungee Run, Jumping Castle, Fairy Floss Machines, and so on to create the Kids Theme Adult Party.

Rustic Vintage Wedding

Rustic Vintage Wedding Theme

The traditional wedding is now becoming overridden by a creative generation so I have designed a Rustic Vintage Wedding Theme to put forward to future clients.

The inspiration for this themed wedding came from a friends’ wedding that I had planned back in September 2012, I absolutely fell in love with this feel so researched a few venues that would fit in with this Rustic Vintage Wedding  theme, these venues include:  Yandina Station, Boomerang Farm Golf Course Gold Coast, Sydney Polo Club and Peppers Creek Village.

The reason why I have chosen the three songs; Ed Sheeran- Kiss me,  Better When we’re together- Jack Johnson and Forever by Ben Harper is that each of these songs have lyrics in them which create the romantic style, they could be incorporated into the bride walking down the aisle, and the singing of the registry instead of using the common wedding song.

I have chosen the bouquets with twine holding the flowers in place as twine has a very rustic feel to it; it is associated with a lot of vintage rustic themes and thinks that this bouquet looks fabulous as well as incorporating the vintage rustic theme.
The wooden place card holders also incorporate the rustic vintage theme, by placing this on the table setting it will add to the theme. The thing I like about this type of theme is that it is all stuff that you can do yourself, it is cost efficient and it’s environmentally friendly.
