Dream Indie Pop Theme
The proposal is of a Dream
Indie Pop style event. All guests and staff will be required to dress in an
Indie Pop style theme; wearing clothes that of the eccentric style- high
collars, bold lipstick, Dr Martens, loud shirts, cut off denim skinny pants.
This attire can be inspired from the new upcoming raw music streaming on
Youtube and triple J, Dream Indie pop music is a subgenre of pop rock and
alternative rock and originated in United Kingdom around the 1980’s, refer to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dream_pop
for an overview.
This event
will have a festival style feel to it either held at The Venue in Towsville or
theTownsville RSL Stadium , it will be a
ticketed event with tickets selling around $50-$100 each depending on additives
you may wish to include (i.e; VIP treatment). This event is aimed towards uni
students or the public aged around 18- 30 who live in Townsville and Far North
Queensland, also including people who
are interested in this style of event, as the music and bands that will be
attending this event are based around this genre. There will also be food
available to purchase at this event, as the market targeted psychographic
profile attending this event there will be only light foods available to
purchase at this event, and of course bars set up around this event for alcohol
consumption. This event could also be used as a marketing approach to promote
fashion such as an upcoming fashion label that adhere to this style of
clothing.
